From the Terrapin Foundation:
The Terrapin Foundation, along with Save The Sound and City of Bridgeport Park and Rec, are doing a beach clean up July 9th at Seaside Park. Plan on meeting at the Soldier and Sailor's Memorial statue.
Our Gathering of The Vibes Operations Crew will also be there to help. We're reaching out to anyone who wishes to come give a hand.
We will begin at 10:00 am and go till 2:00 pm. Lunch will be provided, as well as beverages.
We have gloves for everyone, however, you may wish to bring your own. We strongly suggest boots or heavier shoes.
Thanks in advance!
Hope to see you on the 9th!

WPKN Benefit Concert June 30th with WPKN Programmers
Hey now! Two WPKN programmers will be bringing their bands to the Acoustic Cafe in Bridgeport on Thursday, June 30th for an evening of bluegrass and Americana. We have some surprise guests lined up as well.
Admission is $10 and the proceeds support WPKN's broadcast of Radio Vibes from the Gathering of the Vibes.
Hoe
Wednesday night bluegrass DJ Chris Teskey will be appearing with Hoe.
Drawing on an array of diverse influences, this string band (3-part vocals, guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, upright bass) ignores barriers and boundaries to create a sound that is at once timeless and timely. It is as adept at picking a traditional fiddle tune, a Bill Monroe classic, as it is interpreting a Beatles number or one of its own original compositions.
Cinnamon Sky
Sunday morning jazz and jam band host David Golden will be appearing with Cinnamon Sky.
People tend to think of us as a country band, something that I strongly disagree with. If we have to be put into a class I'd rather it be Americana. Kinda folk, bluegrass, southern rock, cowboy, country and rockabilly all rolled in together.
I hope to see you at the Acoustic Cafe for a night of good friends and great music.
