Blogging of the Vibes, Wednesday night

Home Sweet Trailer

Tiger Rose behind the board early in the day.

The studio has been assembled, and the venue is just about ready for the flood of jam heads. A fog has settled in over Seaside Park, illuminated by the lights around the field.

The PA was just tested with noise, and in a little while we will do a line test from the PA to WPKN.

Setting up, Phase I

The trailer is set up, and I brought in some gear yesterday. It's tight quarters, but it's good enough for a studio. Tiger Rose will have his board in tomorrow and the setup will be finished Wednesday.

Counting down & running up

In less than a week we'll be live. We're still gathering up all our equipment and getting ready for the show. Tomorrow we'll be testing the feed from Seaside Park to the WPKN studio. On Tuesday, Tiger Rose will move his stuff into our remote studio, and on Wednesday we'll bring in the WPKN gear. Tune in next Thursday morning at 8 a.m. for the start of Radio Vibes!

Welcome to the Radio Vibes blog!

Once again, Radio Vibes will broadcast live from Gathering of the Vibes in Bridgeport. We'll take to the air 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning and go until 8 p.m. Sunday night. Along the way we'll have music from the main stage, artist and fan interviews, traffic & weather, along with the great radio you've come to expect from WPKN. If you're new to us, welcome!

We'll be liveblogging from backstage at the Gathering of the Vibes. Watch this space for our broadcast schedule.
